Kane Parsons to Release Bonus "Backrooms" Video on YouTube

Viewers of the standard version won't have to go to the cinema again just for the extra 16 minutes.

On July 9, Russian cinemas began showing a special version of the horror film "The Backrooms" with the subtitle Everything Must Go. It includes an additional 16-minute video shown after the end credits. This version was released abroad six days earlier, on July 3.

However, viewers will soon not have to make a repeat trip to the cinema solely for the bonus material. "The Backrooms" director Kane Parsons announced that he will release the entire 16-minute video on YouTube this week. The director has not yet named the exact publication date.

The short film is stylized after Parsons' previous works and tells the story of employees of the Async research institute who ventured into the Backrooms. The director edited it himself on a laptop in less than two weeks.
