In Seoul, two thousand drones staged a massive light show based on "Star Wars." The performance took place on May 5 over Jamsil Park near the Hangang River, but the full recording of the event only recently began circulating online.
The drones successively formed figures of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Din Djarin, and Grogu. The audience was also shown a lightsaber duel, stormtroopers, droids R2-D2 and BB-8, and the Millennium Falcon flying over the city. The show concluded with the appearance of the "Star Wars" logo.
The show was timed to coincide with Star Wars Day and South Korea's Children's Day. It was part of the Hangang Drone Light Show festival, which the Seoul authorities hold in various parks along the Hangang River.
