Kevin Feige Hinted at Yelena Belova's Appearance in "Spider-Man: A New Day"

News 2

Florence Pugh, apparently, has returned to the role of Yelena Belova in the film "Spider-Man: A New Day". The head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, hinted at the character's imminent appearance during the Bilibili World festival in Shanghai. The producer confirmed that Yelena will play a significant role in the upcoming "Avengers: Doctor Doom", but fans of the character may not have to wait until the crossover's premiere:

"If you're a fan of Yelena, wait for 'Avengers: Doctor Doom' — she has a big role there. But if you don't want to wait that long, you might see her in a movie a little earlier."

Before the release of the new "Avengers" film, Marvel Studios will release only one film from its cinematic universe — "Spider-Man: A New Day". Thus, Feige almost directly hinted at Pugh's participation in the new film about Peter Parker, although the actress is not officially listed in its cast yet.

The words of the head of Marvel Studios also coincide with previous leaks. Back in August 2025, insider Daniel Richtman reported Yelena Belova's return in "A New Day". Later, reports emerged that the character would find herself in a very awkward situation with Peter Parker.

Florence Pugh last played Yelena Belova in "Thunderbolts", after which the character joined the New Avengers. The international premiere of "Spider-Man: A New Day" will take place on July 31, and "Avengers: Doctor Doom" will be released on December 18, 2026.
