There is an opinion that Grand Theft Auto VI will be the last "great game" before the flourishing of AI technologies.

This summer, Rockstar Games opened pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI, and it turned out that the base version of the game costs only $80 (some players previously thought the standard edition would sell for $100). Those wishing to purchase the Ultimate edition with access to some stores and other content will have to pay $100.

However, there are people who would gladly pay several hundred dollars for Grand Theft Auto VI. A fragment of a conversation with analyst Ben Thompson recently went viral in the gaming community. He stated that the developers "should charge about $200 for this game! GTA VI is, like, the last great game."

The analyst explained that the main development time for GTA VI fell before the widespread adoption of AI technologies:

This is the pinnacle of AAA craftsmanship. These are years and years of blood, sweat, and tears. It's gotten to the point where analysts on social media are literally counting cigarette butts outside Rockstar offices to understand how much they're crunching there.

Ben Thompson stated that he would buy Grand Theft Auto VI for $200 — and it's not certain he would even play it — he just wants to support the developers:

I feel obligated to buy GTA VI simply because it exists. Even if I'm not sure if I'll even play it. I would gladly pay $200. $80 is ridiculously low. They should charge more.
