A player ruined the plans of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced developers - accidentally revealed Ubisoft's secret ahead of time
The search was supposed to take much longer.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced was recently released on consoles and PC. Ubisoft Entertainment decided to create an entertainment in the spirit of the game's pirate setting — announcing the start of a treasure hunt.
It was assumed that the developers would regularly publish clues, and players would gradually get closer to solving the mystery. However, the secret was accidentally revealed much earlier.
While exploring the open world in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, players noticed suspicious bubbles on the water's surface. He decided to dive and found a surprise at the bottom — a chest with a new costume for the main character.
This reward was not displayed on the map, meaning it was one of the secrets Ubisoft Entertainment left in the game.
The developers soon reacted to the discovery:
You guys are too good. We were going to reveal a clue to find this chest on Friday, but your treasure hunting skills were too strong. Hats off!
The secret chest in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is located at coordinates "28,292" — below the Conttoyor location and to the left of Chinchorro.
