Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble Prepares for Global Release - Pre-registration Open

The mobile spin-off of the Ratchet & Clank series will offer six modes with PvP and PvE battles.

PlayStation Mobile has opened pre-registration for the mobile hero shooter Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble on Google Play and the App Store. The project is being developed by the French studio Oh Bibi in collaboration with PlayStation Studios and Insomniac Games. The story sees Captain Qwark launch a combat simulator to find the next generation of Galactic Rangers.

Players will choose a hero with unique abilities and weapons to participate in battles across six game modes. These include an eight-player battle royale, a 3v3 "killer football" mode, and a six-player PvPvE mode where players will fight for resources against monsters, bosses, and other users.

At launch, Ranger Rumble will offer 12 characters, including familiar heroes from the series, as well as new Lombaxes, robots, and aliens. As a pre-registration bonus, players are traditionally promised in-game currency and an exclusive Clank skin for a new character named Widget.

The game will be distributed under a free-to-play model, but the developers have not yet announced the global release date. In the Russian segment of app stores, the game, like other PlayStation mobile projects, will be unavailable.
