The analytical company Newzoo believes that Grand Theft Auto 6 is capable of generating between $3.25 and $5.2 billion in revenue in its first week after release. This forecast is based on current pre-order rates, which have already become a record for the gaming industry.

According to a fresh Newzoo report, in the first weeks after pre-orders opened, players worldwide have already spent about $260 million on digital copies of the game. In the US and the five largest European countries, pre-order volume reached $180 million, and the global estimate was obtained by extrapolating this data.

The company emphasized that claims circulating online that GTA 6 has already allegedly collected $1 billion just from pre-orders are not true. Analysts called such statements "absurd" and noted that there are still 21 weeks until release, and Rockstar Games and Take-Two's full marketing campaign has not even begun.

According to Newzoo representatives, the start of GTA 6 pre-orders has been the largest in the company's history of observations. Historically, such indicators were characteristic only of the most successful commercial releases in the gaming industry.
