Crimson Desert Gets Cross-Saves Between PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S
Despite the introduction of cross-saves, the update did not add new content or gameplay mechanics.
Pearl Abyss studio has released update 1.14.00 for Crimson Desert. The main new feature of the patch is the long-awaited support for cross-saves, allowing game progress to be transferred between all platforms.
Now, users on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S will be able to continue their playthrough on any device without losing progress. To use this feature, you need to log in to your Pearl Abyss ID account and link your gaming platforms to it.
In addition, the update contains a number of bug fixes and minor gameplay improvements. Developers have fixed an issue where the quest "A Dwarf's Concern" would not complete, and also corrected a bug where the player could lose control of their character if they interacted with a pet while it was jumping onto a bed.
Changes have also affected the combat system. The activation method for Damiane’s Skystep now matches the controls for Oongka's Vertical Flight, which should make switching between characters more comfortable. Furthermore, the Aerial Force Palm ability now correctly functions during freefall without unwanted interruptions.
Despite the introduction of cross-saves, the update did not add new content or gameplay mechanics. However, Pearl Abyss previously presented a development roadmap for Crimson Desert extending until September, so larger updates are expected in the coming months. The studio also continues to work on a full DLC, which, according to the developers, will offer players a new experience different from regular game updates.
