EA Sports announced NHL 27 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

The game will be released in September.

EA Sports has officially announced NHL 27, releasing the debut trailer for the new installment of the hockey simulator. The game will be released on September 4 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The face of NHL 27 is young San Jose Sharks forward Macklin Celebrini. This is the first time in over two decades that a Sharks player has appeared on the cover of the series – Owen Nolan previously had this honor in NHL 2001.

One of the main innovations will be a completely revamped television presentation of matches. ESPN host John Buccigross and TNT expert Darren Pang will commentate on the games. In addition, the developers have redesigned the broadcast graphics and arena decor to make the match atmosphere more realistic.

The main feature of NHL 27 will be the return of Connected Franchise mode – an online franchise that allows you to manage clubs with friends. The last time such an opportunity was present in the series was in NHL 14, after which it was excluded from subsequent installments.

EA Sports has not yet revealed all the details of how Connected Franchise will work, but promises to talk about the mode closer to the game's release.
