The premiere of "The Batman. Part 2" has been postponed to 2028 - the director showed the first teaser

Warner Bros. has postponed the premiere of "The Batman. Part 2" from October 1, 2027, to February 18, 2028. This is already the third postponement: originally, the film was planned for release on October 3, 2025, but after the writers' and actors' strikes, the release was first moved to October 2026, and then to October 1, 2027.

The studio did not disclose the reasons for the new postponement, but it became part of a large-scale reshuffle in Warner Bros.'s release schedule. The vacant date was taken by J.J. Abrams' sci-fi film "The Great Beyond" starring Glen Powell and Jenna Ortega, which was previously scheduled for November 2026.

At the same time, director Matt Reeves published a short teaser from the set, showing Robert Pattinson in an updated Dark Knight suit for the first time. The new design features chin protection and longer ears.

Filming is currently underway in the UK. Along with Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell will return to their roles. Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry have also joined the cast.
