Adam Driver may join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Mister Sinister. This was reported by insider Apocalyptic Horseman, admitting that his recent information about the role of Magneto was incorrect.
Previously, Wagner Moura, known for the film "Secret Agent," was named as another contender for the villain's role. It is currently unknown whether Marvel Studios is considering both actors simultaneously or if Moura's candidacy is no longer relevant.
Mister Sinister, also known as Nathaniel Essex, is one of the X-Men's most famous adversaries, obsessed with genetic experiments on mutants. In the comics, the character is closely linked to Cyclops and Jean Grey, whose abilities and heredity became the subject of his unhealthy scientific interest.
The new "X-Men" will be directed by Jake Schreier ("Thunderbolts"). Marvel Studios has not yet revealed the cast or announced the film's premiere date.
