Bethesda announced Fallout 5, as well as remasters of Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3

In mid-July, Bethesda Game Studios made announcements that some fans of the Fallout franchise had been waiting for a very long time.

According to the developers, Fallout is “one of the top priorities” and Fallout 5 is currently in development. As with the upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI, the project is based on the Creation Engine 3.

Fallout 5 is in the pre-production stage:

The main focus of development now is The Elder Scrolls VI, on which most of the team is working. Over 65 million copies have been sold, and players are still exploring Skyrim 15 years later, but we understand that the wait for a sequel has been long. A new chapter is on its way […] we are happy with how everything looks and play it every day.

Bethesda Game Studios also knows that many players want to return to the classic Fallout installments – the development of remasters for Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas has been confirmed. However, the developers are not yet ready to announce specific release dates.

For now, these are just “paper announcements” – no trailers or concept art have been published.
