Escape from Tarkov's "Blackout" event finale simplified in PvE and PvP - Sergey Domontovich talks about the changes

The raid time in "The Lab" was ultimately increased.

In July, Battlestate Games launched the in-game event "Blackout" in Escape from Tarkov. The lights were turned off on "The Lab" map, and Black Division bots are active.

Players shared their feedback, and the creators of "Tarkov" decided to make some balancing adjustments and also modify the final quest.

One of the developers, Sergey Domontovich, revealed what was included in the update:

  • Raid time on "The Lab" has been increased to 30 minutes in PvP mode and 35 minutes in PvE;
  • Reduced number of Black Division bots in PvE mode;
  • Increased chance of PMC bots appearing in PvE mode;
  • The final quest has been adjusted for PvP and PvE – now any objectives on "The Lab" will count.

The developers also increased the chance of valuable loot appearing in the locked rooms of "The Lab". In addition, new barters have appeared for obtaining the access keycard to "The Lab" from the Therapist and Mechanic.

This update for Escape from Tarkov is being installed today, and the changes should take effect soon.

This month, an update with a seasonal system is also planned for Escape from Tarkov – players will be able to create a seasonal character and choose seasonal perks.
