Turn-based tactics Tiny Metal to get anime adaptation from Hiroyasu Kobayashi and SAFEHOUSE studio
Zero Line will expand the universe of turn-based tactics inspired by the Advance Wars series.
The tactical series Tiny Metal will get an anime called Tiny Metal: Zero Line. Production is handled by SAFEHOUSE studio ("Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance"), and the project is led by Hiroyasu Kobayashi – CG director for the "Evangelion" rebuilds from Khara studio.
Details of the plot and release date have not yet been disclosed. The pilot episode of Tiny Metal: Zero Line has already been shown to visitors of the Japan Expo festival in France, but it has not yet been released to the public. Only a teaser of the project is available on the Tiny Metal Game YouTube channel:
The original Tiny Metal from AREA35 studio was released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in 2017. Inspired by the Advance Wars series, the developers created a classic turn-based tactics game where players capture bases, produce military equipment, and engage in battles on grid-based maps. Two years later, the game received a sequel – Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble, and in spring 2027, Tiny Metal 2 will be released on PC. SAFEHOUSE studio is also responsible for the animated cutscenes for the new installment.
