Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will continue to play their versions of Spider-Man after the film "Avengers: Secret Wars." This was reported by insider MyTimeToShineHello, stating that two more projects have already been planned for both actors.

“Tobey and Andrew's Spider-Man story won't end in Secret Wars. There are already plans to bring them back for two more projects.”

The insider did not specify whether this refers to two joint appearances, separate films for each hero, or other Marvel and Sony projects. It is also unknown whether the events will take place in the characters' native universes or in the updated MCU after the Multiverse Saga concludes.

Officially, Maguire's and Garfield's participation has not yet been confirmed even in the upcoming Avengers films. However, various insiders claim that both actors will appear in "Secret Wars," where they will once again unite with Tom Holland's Spider-Man. Maguire is also credited with an important role in the film "Avengers: Doctor Doom."

The actors last played Peter Parkers in the film "Spider-Man: No Way Home," which grossed about $1.9 billion worldwide. After its success, fans renewed campaigns for a fourth "Spider-Man" with Maguire and a third "The Amazing Spider-Man" with Garfield, but Sony has not yet announced any of these projects.

However, "The Batman Part II" screenwriter Mattson Tomlin said back in November 2025 that he was trying to push the idea of a fourth "Spider-Man" with Maguire. In his concept, the story should show a grown-up Peter Parker who combines fighting crime with the duties of a husband and father. The project has not been officially launched, but Tomlin claims that he has not yet received a final refusal from Sony.

“Slow and steady wins the race. There's nothing to tell about it anytime soon, if ever. There are many people involved, studio politics, and circumstances beyond my control. But so far, I haven't been told 'no,'” the screenwriter explained.

The premiere of "Avengers: Doctor Doom" is scheduled for December 18, 2026, and "Avengers: Secret Wars" will be released on December 17, 2027.
