Sony is not porting the PS5 library to PC, so players are doing it themselves.

Sony has not released all PlayStation console projects on PC, and recently announced the cessation of disc game releases. This has reignited discussions about preserving digital heritage and given new impetus to the development of various PlayStation 5 console emulation projects.

Recently, the creators of the SharpEmu emulator achieved a technical breakthrough. Ghost of Yotei was successfully launched on PC – developers reached the initial screen, but then the game crashed.

There is also some progress with Demon's Souls: the remake launched and it was possible to reach Outpost Passage – the in-game interface can be seen in the screenshot.

The mere fact of launching Demon's Souls or Ghost of Yotei on PC "only up to the splash screen" may seem like a dubious achievement, but shadPS4 wasn't built in a day either. Eventually, players were able to not only play Bloodborne on PC with this emulator, but also further improve FromSoftware's game with their modifications. Currently, tech enthusiasts are testing network functions in shadPS4.

Some players hope that PlayStation 5 emulators will reach a point in the foreseeable future where Grand Theft Auto VI can be played on PC.
