Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake to be Shown by Late 2026 - Rumor
Saber Interactive has brought in experienced specialists from various game studios and combined the resources of several internal teams to accelerate production.
Despite years of silence surrounding the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake, the project, according to insiders, continues to actively develop. If the source 100% Star Wars is to be believed, a full presentation of the game is still planned for late 2026.
According to the insider, after the development was transferred from Aspyr Media to Saber Interactive, the team essentially started from scratch. Over the past three years, the remake's creation has reportedly progressed without major issues, and the development pace has gradually increased.
Even successful development progress, as the source notes, does not guarantee a 2028 release – general issues in the gaming industry could affect the timeline.
The insider believes that the official demonstration of the remake remains scheduled for 2026. He names The Game Awards ceremony, traditionally held in December, as the most likely platform for the announcement. At the same time, the source admits that the presentation could be postponed to 2027 and held as part of Star Wars Celebration, but emphasizes that this is only his assumption, while current plans still involve a showing by the end of this year.
