New Footage with Scorpion and an Invisible Enemy: The Final Trailer for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" Has Been Released
Less than two weeks remain until the premiere of the new Peter Parker film starring Tom Holland.
Marvel and Sony Pictures Entertainment have unveiled the final trailer for the blockbuster "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," titled "Peter's Journey."
The clip opens with a retrospective of Peter's relationships with Ned and MJ, recalls the tragic death of Aunt May, and the consequences of Doctor Strange's spell that made the entire world forget the superhero's identity. The second half of the trailer focuses on recent events: it shows a battle with Scorpion (Michael Mando), a skirmish with ninjas from the Hand clan in prison, a flight with MJ, a confrontation with the Hulk played by Mark Ruffalo, and the aftermath of attacks by a mysterious invisible adversary.
However, there is not much completely new footage in the clip — most of the scenes have already been seen by viewers in previous promotional materials and teasers. The final trailer rather summarizes the emotional outcome of Peter Parker's past adventures before the launch of a new stage in his life.
The film's plot unfolds four years after the events of "No Way Home." Peter has fully dedicated himself to fighting crime in New York. However, agonizing loneliness and constant emotional pressure trigger a physical transformation within the hero that he can barely control. Fortunately for Parker, these changes may be the only key to defeating a powerful enemy whom no one can see, but Peter can feel.
Alongside Tom Holland, the film will feature Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, and Tramell Tillman. The film was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, director of "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings."
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is set to premiere on July 31, 2026.
