Konami Promised to Show a New Silent Hill: Townfall Trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live

Gamescom 2026 will take place in Cologne from August 26 to 30, and the Opening Night Live ceremony will traditionally open the event on the evening of August 25.

Konami has officially confirmed its participation in the Gamescom Opening Night Live ceremony, which will take place on August 25. One of the main premieres will be a new trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall.

In addition to the Opening Night Live showcase, the publisher will prepare a rich program for exhibition visitors. A special "terrifying" themed zone dedicated to Silent Hill will appear at the Konami booth, but details about it have not yet been disclosed.

Gamescom guests will also be able to personally try out Castlevania: Belmont's Curse for the first time – a new main installment in the famous series, developed by Evil Empire studio, known for supporting and developing Dead Cells.

Although Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 will not be available for play, a certain "bipedal mechanical machine" will be placed at the booth for photo opportunities. Judging by the description, this could be a full-size model of the Gekko combat robot from the Metal Gear series.

In addition, Konami will organize demonstrations of Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, where visitors can learn the rules of the card game and try their hand at matches.

The company also reminded of the release schedule for its upcoming titles. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 will be released on August 27, Silent Hill: Townfall on September 24, and Castlevania: Belmont's Curse will be available on October 15.
