American wrestler and strongman Adam Scherr, also known by his stage name Braun Strowman, has posted a series of hints about his possible involvement in Prime Video's God of War series.

Last week, it was revealed that Ryan Hurst, who plays Kratos in Amazon's God of War series, suffered a torn biceps. Due to recovery times that do not fit the production schedule, Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios decided to replace the actor and suspended filming until October 2026.

The day after Hurst's injury, as it has only now become known, wrestler Adam Scherr posted photos on social media dressed as Kratos with the caption "I am him". A few hours later, the athlete also shared a photo of an Amazon studio guest pass, dated July 15 — the day before the official announcement of the actor's replacement. The coincidence of the posts with the search for a new actor to play the Ghost of Sparta immediately sparked rumors that Scherr might be a contender for the role.

However, the posts do not yet mean that Scherr has already been approved for the role. Given that filming is planned to resume in mid-October, producers are indeed holding an emergency casting, and the wrestler may only be one of the candidates who signed up for auditions. At the same time, Scherr has no acting experience, unlike Ryan Hurst, who has worked in television for more than 30 years and is known for his roles in the series "Sons of Anarchy" and "Vikings".
