Emily Rudd and Maddie Phillips are reportedly vying for the role of Emma Frost in the new "X-Men" movie. This was reported by insider Main Middle Man, who has previously published both confirmed information and erroneous leaks.
Emily Rudd is known for her role as Nami in Netflix's live-action adaptation of "One Piece," while Maddie Phillips played Cate Dunlap in "Gen V" and the third season of "The Boys."
Previously, other insiders linked Sydney Sweeney, Margot Robbie, and Sabrina Carpenter to the role of Emma Frost. Their current status is unknown. However, according to the latest information from Main Middle Man, Robbie has already been offered the role of Mystique, not in the main X-Men film, but in a separate special about the character.
The new "X-Men" will be directed by Jake Schreier, who helmed "Thunderbolts*". The current version of the script is being worked on by "Beef" writer Lee Sung Jin and "The Bear" creator Joanna Calo, who are reworking an earlier draft by Michael Lesslie.
Marvel Studios has not yet announced the cast or the premiere date. The film is expected to be released after the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga in "Avengers: Secret Wars."
