"It's Worth the Wait": "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" Actor Assures Threequel Will Justify All Delays
Jake Johnson shared his impressions of the recorded scenes and the elaborate visuals of the trilogy's final chapter.
Actor Jake Johnson, who voices Peter B. Parker in Sony's animated franchise, shared details about working on the threequel "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse." In an interview with ScreenRant, Johnson assured fans that the prolonged development would be well worth it.
"I think people should be excited about how the movie is turning out. From everything I've seen and recorded – and it was the same with the first and second parts – it's turning out incredibly cool and interesting. All the scenes are so detailed and deeply thought out that the result is truly worth the wait. What this team is doing pays for every ticket bought, and I, as always, am incredibly proud to be a part of this project."
The film's plot will continue the events of the second part, "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," when Miles Morales accidentally lands on Earth-42, where his uncle Aaron is alive, Spider-Man doesn't exist, and an alternate version of Miles himself has become the Prowler. At the same time, Gwen Stacy and a team of allies are already setting out to find him.
The film's premiere has been repeatedly postponed due to the complexity of the animation process and script revisions. Currently, the release of "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" in theaters is scheduled for June 18, 2027.
