The Coalition has announced the full reveal date for Gears of War: E-Day multiplayer. The presentation will take place on June 30 at 4:00 PM Moscow time. The developers have not yet disclosed the details of the event, but it is expected that the main focus will be on the Versus mode, new maps, and features of the updated multiplayer system.
Gears of War: E-Day will bring back the classic 4v4 battle format. New maps are being created with an emphasis on symmetrical structure to ensure equal conditions for both teams. Previously, the developers have already demonstrated some changes in gameplay: for example, the ability to use sliding for quick movement, and jumps can now open up new options for bypassing opponents and unexpected flank attacks.
In addition to the standard Versus Mode, the game will feature a new cooperative mode, Horde Siege. It will be a large-scale evolution of the familiar "Horde" mode and is designed for 12 players who will have to defend the city of Kalona from waves of enemies.
The developers promise to reveal more information about the number of maps, available modes, and other multiplayer features later. Additional details may appear in August, when the open beta testing of the game will take place. Players will be able to find out the exact dates of the test, participation conditions, and the list of available content.
