On July 23, a remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved was released on PC and consoles. Only the campaign was updated, because it's cheaper and they wouldn't have to bother with multiplayer balance.
The game retains the original story of Master Chief and humanity's first encounter with the Covenant on the Halo ring, but offers significantly improved graphics, updated cutscenes, redesigned controls, an expanded arsenal of weapons and vehicles, and three new story missions featuring Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson.
