Halo: Campaign Evolved Hacked Four Days Before Release
Some players received premium early access, while others took advantage of it and cracked the remake.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is scheduled for release on July 28, but some have already had the opportunity to play. The developers provide early access to Premium Edition owners.
The new game from Halo Studios was released on PC without Denuvo protection, so it was quickly cracked – there was no need to use the "hypervisor" method. One of the advantages of the premium edition was "nullified."
However, players can get other bonuses for purchasing it – a digital artbook, the story Halo: Hungry Buzzards and a game guide, as well as the Alpha Halo Armory Pack with 5 Master Chief armor skins and 6 weapon skins.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is positioned as an authentic modernized remake of the Halo: Combat Evolved campaign. You can play in single-player or co-op mode. The story centers on Master Chief – after crash-landing on the ringworld Halo, he must survive against the superior forces of the Covenant. Other fighters and his loyal AI companion Cortana help him in this.
The first reviews of Halo: Campaign Evolved on Steam are "mixed": some players cannot launch the shooter due to errors in the DRM system. Some also complain about "cutscenes at 30 FPS."
