Halo: Campaign Evolved Criticized for Aggressive Motion Blur - Advised to Disable Immediately

Players and journalists are complaining about the excessively aggressive Motion Blur effect in Halo: Campaign Evolved, which turns the image into a blurry mess.

Early access to Halo: Campaign Evolved has sparked lively discussion. In addition to praising the updated graphics, players and journalists have drawn attention to a serious technical issue.

The main target of criticism is the Motion Blur effect. According to users, it is implemented so aggressively that when the camera turns sharply, the image practically loses readability and turns into a blurry "mess".

The problem is most pronounced on portable devices and mid-range PCs, where the game runs at 30–60 frames per second. This makes it more difficult to aim and engage in dynamic firefights.

Even at higher frame rates, the effect remains intrusive, so most testers recommend disabling Motion Blur in the graphics settings first.

Experts also advise disabling camera shake during explosions and using image scaling technologies: DLSS for Nvidia graphics card owners, and FSR for users of modern AMD GPUs.
