This week, users of the mobile Epic Games Store can get the story-driven card adventure Foretales from Alkemi studio for free. It's a deck-building game with a visual style inspired by classic Disney animation, where every decision affects the further development of the story.
The story tells of a thief named Volpen, who faces disturbing visions of the impending end of the world. To prevent the apocalypse, the hero and his talking companions must explore a crumbling world and make difficult decisions that can change the ending. All actions take place using cards: the player can choose a stealthy approach, use diplomacy (for example, bribe an enemy), or engage in open combat.
The original version of Foretales was released on PC in 2022 and received "very positive" reviews on Steam. The soundtrack was written by Christophe Héral, who worked on Rayman Legends and Beyond Good & Evil, and Raphaël Joffres. In the English version, the narrator was voiced by Travis Willingham from Critical Role.
Foretales can be added to your library for free until July 30 (6:00 PM Moscow time). The giveaway is available on Android worldwide and on iOS in EU countries.
