Ryan Gosling may join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ghost Rider. According to insider Daniel Richtman, the studio has already approved the actor for the role, and an official announcement could be made during the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con, which begins on July 26 at 03:30 Moscow time.
The insider's words echo Gosling's recent statements. The actor has publicly spoken about his desire to play Ghost Rider since 2022, and in May 2026, he confirmed on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he had discussed the role of Johnny Blaze with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, although he called the situation "complicated."
A standalone Ghost Rider project has not yet been announced. Rumor has it that the character may join the "Midnight Sons" – a team of supernatural Marvel heroes alongside Blade and Moon Knight. Richtman also previously reported that Ghost Rider would be given one of the key roles in the rumored film.
