The city-building simulator Townsmen - A Kingdom Rebuilt by HandyGames studio has had a difficult journey: initially, the project appeared on PC in 2019, where it garnered 79% positive reviews on Steam, and in 2022, it reached smartphones via the Netflix Games catalog. However, in the summer of 2025, the project was removed from the service amidst a reevaluation of Netflix's mobile strategy.
Now, Townsmen - A Kingdom Rebuilt is once again available on Android and iOS as a standalone release. Players will have to go from a tiny settlement to a huge prosperous kingdom: construct over 150 types of buildings, build complex production chains, manage the economy, adapt to changing seasons, and protect residents from plague, fires, and bandit raids.
The mobile version retains all the content of the original, features adapted touch controls, and full support for the Russian language. The game is distributed under a "try before you buy" model: the tutorial, the first story scenario, and a sandbox map are available for free. The full version with all scenarios costs 250 rubles, and the Seaside Empire expansion can be purchased for another 250 rubles.
