Ubisoft Doubles Mobile Gaming Revenue Thanks to Invincible: Guarding the Globe's Success
The game based on the "Invincible" franchise had its best quarter ever, driven by the release of the animated series' fourth season.
Publisher Ubisoft released its financial report for the first quarter of the 2026–2027 fiscal year. The company's total net bookings amounted to €255.8 million ($291 million) — a 9% decrease compared to last year, when results were boosted by the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, but still above Ubisoft's own forecasts.
The mobile sector was the main driver of the quarter: its share of Ubisoft's total bookings almost doubled, from 10% to 19%. The mobile RPG Invincible: Guarding the Globe made the primary contribution, showing record results.
As Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot noted, the increase in players and monetization is linked to the release of the fourth season of the animated series "Invincible" in March, as well as the addition of new characters to the game. Other key company projects, including Rainbow Six Siege, performed in line with expectations:
"In the first quarter, our net bookings slightly exceeded our forecast. The main factor was the record contribution of Invincible: Guarding the Globe, while other projects in our portfolio, including Rainbow Six Siege, showed expected results. The 2026-2027 fiscal year remains a period of strict discipline as we continue our transformation, invest in the most promising areas, and prepare for a significantly more powerful content creation cycle."
For comparison, the share of the console segment decreased from 50% to 46%, while the PC segment's indicator slightly increased from 26% to 27%. North America remains the largest market for Ubisoft, accounting for 47% of all bookings, followed by Europe with 38%.
