3 hours of Left 4 Dead 2 RTX remaster gameplay with Russian voice acting - mod improves graphics and hundreds of textures

An enthusiast is gradually updating Valve's co-op hit.

Recently, the author of the GameTrek Adventures YouTube channel published a lengthy gameplay recording of Left 4 Dead RTX. This is a mod-remaster of Valve's co-op shooter.

The developer said that he has been working on the project for several months and listed his achievements:

• Lighting was manually configured on all 65 maps "exactly as in the original version of the game."
• PBR materials (with physically correct rendering) were created for more than 405 textures using PBR Fusion 4. However, the author made a reservation that "there is still much to be done."
• Fog was configured, animated water and more than 100 Emissive Maps (color map to simulate light emission by material) were added.
• All weapons from Left 4 Dead 2 were replaced with weapons from Modern Warfare. The modder noted that he might remove them upon release to avoid problems.

GameTrek Adventures also published a video comparing the graphics of Left 4 Dead 2 RTX — with and without path tracing.

According to modder GameTrek Adventures, at the moment, all of Left 4 Dead 2 is in a "playable" state. He will continue to refine textures and other elements of the project.
