Full-length anime "Gintama: Yoshiwara in Flames" to be released on Netflix on August 27

A new version of the cult "Gintama" arc will reach streaming six months after its theatrical premiere.

Netflix has announced the release date for the full-length anime "Gintama: Yoshiwara in Flames". The film will be available to subscribers of the service on August 27.

The film is an extended version of the "Yoshiwara in Flames" arc, previously adapted in episodes 139-146 of the original series. The full-length format allowed the creators to add new scenes and characters that were not in the television version.

The film was produced by BN Pictures studio. Naoya Ando ("Paradox Live") directed, Taku Kishimoto ("Blue Lock") wrote the screenplay, and Yoichi Fujita, the main director of the television "Gintama", served as the overall project supervisor.
