Marvel's Spider-Man 2 received an update with new suits and improved PS5 Pro support

The game was released exclusively for PlayStation 5 in October 2023, with a PC version appearing in January 2025.

Insomniac Games has released a new update v1.005.000 for Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The patch is already available to game owners and brings several notable innovations, including free Spider-Man suits, improved PlayStation 5 Pro support, and a power-saving mode.

One of the main innovations is the expanded support for PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) technology on PS5 Pro. The update allows for more efficient use of Sony's proprietary upscaler capabilities, which should positively affect image quality and game performance on the improved console version.

In addition, the patch adds support for Power Saver mode. This feature allows the PlayStation 5 to reduce power consumption by decreasing performance or image resolution, which is especially relevant for users looking to reduce energy consumption.

Players also received two new free suits. The first is inspired by Spider-Man from the movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," which is released in cinemas this week. The second is cell-shaded and based on the hero's design from the fighting game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, published by Sony. The release of this game is scheduled for August 6.
