Open World Game: Watch the First Trailer for "Jumanji 3" with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

The film will be the final installment of the modern "Jumanji" trilogy.

Sony Pictures has unveiled the first full trailer for "Jumanji 3" – the final installment of the modern trilogy starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, which is subtitled "Open World" abroad.

This time, Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Franklin Finbar, Shelly Oberon, and Ruby Roundhouse will leave the virtual world and find themselves in reality. Along with them, new dangers from "Jumanji" will also penetrate our world. To restore the boundary between the two worlds, the heroes will have to re-enter the game.

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Danny DeVito, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, and Madison Iseman have returned to their roles. Jake Kasdan, who directed "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" and "Jumanji: The Next Level," is once again at the helm.

The previous installment was released in 2019 and grossed approximately $802 million worldwide. Production of the sequel was delayed due to the pandemic and the director's involvement in other projects. In most countries, "Jumanji: Open World" will be released on December 23, with the American premiere on December 25, 2026. Sony slightly shifted the release to increase the distance between the film and its main competitors – "Avengers: Doctor Doom" and "Dune: Part Three," which will be released a week earlier.
