Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand, an "RTS roguelike" about defending against waves of enemies, has been released on Steam
During "runs," players will be able to receive random upgrades and units.
In late July, Relic Entertainment released Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand on PC via Steam. This is a standalone project that offers a new take on real-time strategy.
Players will have to establish themselves in a territory, build a multi-layered defense system, and fend off escalating waves of enemies over 12 rounds. The game's difficulty will gradually increase: "You will face formidable bosses and special 'complications' within unique in-game events."
The developers introduced a progression system with "roguelike" elements in Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand: after each wave, players can replenish their arsenal with random combat units or abilities that will last until the end of the game. This will make each "run" unique.
Several playable factions are available in the game, including the US Army and British Forces. Between game sessions, permanent upgrades will unlock on progression trees, which will change tactics for these factions.
