Two new trailers for "Sekiro: No Defeat" have appeared on the official KADOKAWAanime YouTube channel. The first is dedicated to the silent shinobi Wolf, also known as Sekiro, and the second to his master Kuro, the Divine Heir.
Sekiro is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa, Kuro is played by Miyuki Sato, and Genichiro Ashina's voice is provided by Kenjiro Tsuda. All three return to their characters from the original game.
According to the official synopsis, the anime will largely follow the plot of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The action unfolds in the lands of Ashina twenty years after the sword master Isshin Ashina seized power in the region through a bloody coup. Now the state is threatened by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Isshin's grandson Genichiro turns to forbidden powers and tries to use the legacy of the abducted Kuro. The only hope for saving the boy is his loyal protector – the silent shinobi Wolf.
The anime is produced by Qzil.la studio. The project's director is Ken'ichi Kutsuna, whose works include "The Fire Hunter," "Magical Destroyers," and "Love of the Lord." The script was written by Takuya Sato, known for "Selector Infected WIXOSS" and "Fate/stay night." Character design is handled by Takahiro Kishida, who worked on "Haikyuu!!" and "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind."
The Japanese theatrical release of "Sekiro: No Defeat" will begin on September 4, 2026, and will run for three weeks. The film will later appear on Crunchyroll, but the exact date of the digital premiere is not yet known.
