The online cinema Okko has launched the production of the animated series "Altushki vs. Skufy," based on the universe of the meme visual novel "Altushka for Skuf." The first season will consist of six episodes, each lasting 10 to 12 minutes. The creators have not yet revealed plot details or the cast.
The co-authors of the original game, Vitaly Terletsky and RIKANI, have returned to work. RIKANI will take the director's chair, and her studio, RIK ANIMATION, will handle the production. The script will be written by Terletsky and Kirill Kutuzov, who voiced the skuf in the visual novel.
"Altushka for Skuf" was created by Terletski Games and RIK Animation and was released on PC in April 2024. The story follows a forty-year-old single man who registers on the "Skufuslugi" portal to receive a state-assigned altushka. The player is offered a choice of three girls, after which the story develops based on his answers and decisions. Vitaly Terletsky wrote the script for the original game, and RIKANI developed its visual style and voiced the main characters.
After its release, the visual novel received several story add-ons, a manga, a board game, and more. Now, the story will continue in the format of an animated series.
The premiere will take place exclusively on Okko in 2027.
