PlayStation 5 emulator successfully runs games - with acceptable FPS and graphical bugs

Work on emulators is gradually progressing, and some projects are in a "playable" state.

After Sony's announcement to stop releasing PlayStation game discs, the demand for emulation significantly increased. Work on PlayStation 5 emulators continues, and certain progress is being observed.

Recently, footage of testing one of the emulators called Kyty was published online. It was used to test the remake of the cel-shaded shooter XIII, as well as the arcade game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade Wrath of the Mutants.

The Kyty emulator delivered an acceptable frame rate: XIII averaged 20-30 FPS, but textures and lighting glitched. Some parts of the game environment were clearly displayed incorrectly, so it's currently "playable" but requires further refinement.

With TMNT Arcade Wrath of the Mutants, the graphical situation is better — there are fewer errors, but the frame rate is 22-24 FPS. The game crashed on the first launch, but after restarting the emulator, it worked without issues.

In Hellboy Web of Wyrd, only 2 FPS was achieved, and in Paleo Pines — only 1 FPS.

Previously, PlayStation 5 exclusives — Ghost of Yotei and the Demon's Souls remake — were successfully launched on a PlayStation 5 emulator, but at that time, tech enthusiasts didn't make much progress.
