Netflix Releases Mini-Golf Based on "Squid Game" and "Stranger Things"
The streaming giant continues to explore the party game segment.
Netflix Minigolf has been released on devices supporting the Netflix Games catalog – a local cooperative party game based on "Stranger Things," "Squid Game," "Bridgerton," and other popular shows from the platform.
During development, the creators drew inspiration from classic mini-golf, pinball, and mechanics in the style of Mario Kart. Players have access to over 60 levels with unique traps and decorations from Netflix universes. For example, Demogorgons can appear on Hawkins-themed courses, knocking the ball off its trajectory. In addition to traditional spin and boosts, scoring is tied to mischief against opponents: players can collide balls with each other or launch tornadoes at opponents, sending them off the course.
Up to four people can play simultaneously. To connect, simply scan the QR code on the TV screen – your smartphone will automatically turn into a gamepad. Only an active Netflix subscription is required to launch the game.
