Bethesda celebrates 40th anniversary with unexpected return to its roots

Bethesda Softworks has updated its corporate identity, returning to the design from the company's early years.

The publisher, founded in 1986, posted a new logo on social media. Perhaps this is a temporary option and it will not be used in future projects, including Fallout 3 Remastered, Fallout: New Vegas Remastered, and The Elder Scrolls VI.

The new emblem is based on the Bethesda logo that was used from 1986 to 2000. The only differences from the original are the retro design and the inscription EST.1986.

The company symbolically divided Bethesda Softworks, which publishes games, and Bethesda Game Studios, which is responsible for development. The logo conditionally unites the publisher's history and its future.
