Ayaneo CEO Arthur Zhang kept his promise and held a stream dedicated to the KONKR Pocket Advance handheld console.
It was revealed that the device features a large number of action buttons, a pair of additional menu buttons, new RC/LC shoulder buttons for assigning commands, a wide bezel around the screen, an SD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 5.0, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB-C port with fast charging support.
The console will be heavy — weighing 244 grams compared to 140 grams for the original GAME BOY Advance. For comparison, the ANBERNIC RG34XX, which resembles the GBA, weighs 188 grams. As for dimensions: KONKR Pocket Advance — 151.3 mm × 82.4 mm × 22 mm, GAME BOY Advance — 144.5 mm × 82 mm × 24.5 mm.
The new product features a 3.5-inch LCD screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio. On the 960 × 480 resolution screen, GBA games can be natively scaled four times. This provides a high pixel density (most likely 307 ppi). The device will be available in two colors: orange and blue-violet.
In addition, during the broadcast, Arthur launched various games on the KONKR Pocket Advance. The capabilities of the Android system with the AYASpace shell were also demonstrated, showing application organization and management.
