Super Mario Maker with a Radish in the Lead Role: DIY Dadish Announced

News 0

Indie developer Thomas K. Young, who gave players the platformers Dadish, Super Fowlst, and Dunkadillo, has unveiled his new project — DIY Dadish.

This time, the author was inspired by the ideas of Super Mario Maker: players will be able to act as designers themselves and create their own levels of any complexity. The editor's interface and tools are being developed with maximum simplicity in mind, so that any user can easily understand them, and created levels can be shared with the community worldwide.

The developer promises over 100 objects to place on the map — from circular saws and spikes to exploding soda cans and hostile hamburgers, as well as 15 visual themes for locations, 12 playable characters, and a built-in dialogue editor allowing for the creation of small story narratives.

The game is being developed for iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch, and its release is planned for the near future. The exact release date has not yet been disclosed by the developer.
