For the composer and Matt Reeves, the sequel to "The Batman" starring Robert Pattinson will be their sixth collaboration.

Michael Giacchino will return to work on the music for "The Batman Part II." The composer told ScreenRant that he has not yet received an official offer, but is confident in continuing his collaboration with director Matt Reeves:

"I don't think there's a world where Matt Reeves would let me stay on the sidelines. We're very good friends, and I love working with Matt the most. He's great."

Reeves soon confirmed the composer's words on social media. The director posted a link to the interview and accompanied it with a short comment "100%" with three bat emojis.

"The Batman Part II" will be the sixth collaboration between Reeves and Giacchino. They first worked together on "Cloverfield" (2008), after which the composer wrote music for "Let Me In," "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," "War for the Planet of the Apes," and the first "The Batman."

Plot details for the sequel are still being kept under wraps. Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, and Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell will return to their roles. Newcomers announced include Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry, and Charles Dance.

Filming for "The Batman Part II" is already underway in the UK. The film is scheduled to premiere on February 18, 2028.
