The colorful mobile platformer Poinpy, previously an exclusive to the Netflix Games service, has officially returned to the App Store and Google Play. The game from Downwell creator Ojiro Fumoto (Moppin) no longer requires an active subscription and is available for free download to everyone.
Devolver Digital acted as the publisher and did not add ads or mandatory payments to the project. However, those who wish can support the developer by leaving "tips" ranging from $1.99 to $9.99, but this does not provide any advantages or rewards.
Poinpy's plot centers around a bouncy green dinosaur who must climb up procedurally generated levels, escaping from a giant and perpetually hungry blue monster. To avoid falling into its maw, players must collect fruits on the fly and squeeze juice from them, fulfilling the pursuer's orders.
The gameplay is built around a slingshot mechanic, reminiscent of Angry Birds. The player pulls back and chooses the jump trajectory, bounces off walls, performs tricks in the air, and dodges dangers.
Poinpy was originally released in June 2022 and was distributed exclusively through Netflix Games. Like many other projects, the game was removed from the service's catalog during a major cleanup in June 2025.
