Fifth Spin-off in Two Years: Garena Announces Mobile MMORPG Palworld Online

News 0

Publisher Garena has officially announced Palworld Online — a licensed mobile MMORPG based on the popular survival simulator from Pocketpair studio. The project is scheduled for release in 2026 for iOS and Android devices.

The game will transfer the familiar formula of the original into a single-player, multiplayer, seamless world. Players will be able to explore vast territories, catch and raise Pals, uncover lore secrets through exclusive story and side quests, and build joint bases. Pals will assist in production, defending settlements from attacks, and daily tasks, while the camps themselves can eventually be developed into large social hubs that multiple players can use.

The game will offer both PvE content with world bosses and dynamic PvP battles. The interface will be specially adapted for touchscreens with simplified "one-touch" controls for comfortable building and moving structures.

Garena President Terry Zhao noted that the team aims to transfer the essence of the PC version to smartphones while maintaining all its depth and freedom. In turn, Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe emphasized:

"Garena has extensive experience in global publishing, localization, and live service support for mobile games. We are excited to partner with Garena on the licensed development of Palworld Online and look forward to bringing a new experience to players worldwide in the Palworld universe."

Notably, Palworld Online will be the second mobile spin-off announced for the young universe. Previously, KRAFTON acquired the rights to its own mobile adaptation, developing the Palworld Mobile project with PUBG Studios.

In total, the new game from Garena will be the fourth video game spin-off of the franchise — alongside the farm simulator Palworld: Palfarm and the visual novel Pal♡world! ~More Than Just Pals~ — and the fifth project, if you include the physical collectible card game Palworld Official Card Game.

Meanwhile, the original Palworld itself reached version 1.0 quite recently — on July 10, 2026. However, even during early access, the game attracted enormous industry attention, turning into an influential media brand.
