Recently, the editorial team of Empire magazine summarized the interim gaming results for 2026. Over the past months, many large and not-so-large projects have been presented, and journalists decided to choose the best among them.

Forza Horizon 6 was praised for its large number of detailed cars, recreated Japanese automotive culture, and elaborate locations. Saros was lauded for its combat and Giger-esque architecture.
Speaking of Resident Evil Requiem, which took first place, journalists noted the quality of the visuals and the atmosphere of fear: "In some places, the game is almost photorealistic, which makes you dread what lurks around every corner. It's a masterful return of the series to its roots and the best game of this year so far."
Capcom is currently preparing an add-on for RE Requiem, but details have not yet been disclosed.
