Empire Magazine Presents Top 10 Best Games of 2026

Several new Capcom titles were highlighted.

Recently, the editorial team of Empire magazine summarized the interim gaming results for 2026. Over the past months, many large and not-so-large projects have been presented, and journalists decided to choose the best among them.

Top 10 best games of 2026 according to Empire magazine (journalists make a reservation – "as of now"):

• 10 — MIO: Memories In Orbit
• 9 — Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
• 8 — Pokémon Pokopia
• 7 — Pragmata
• 6 — Cairn
• 5 — Mixtape
• 4 — 007 First Light

• 3 — Forza Horizon 6
• 2 — Saros
• 1 — Resident Evil Requiem

Forza Horizon 6 was praised for its large number of detailed cars, recreated Japanese automotive culture, and elaborate locations. Saros was lauded for its combat and Giger-esque architecture.

Speaking of Resident Evil Requiem, which took first place, journalists noted the quality of the visuals and the atmosphere of fear: "In some places, the game is almost photorealistic, which makes you dread what lurks around every corner. It's a masterful return of the series to its roots and the best game of this year so far."

Capcom is currently preparing an add-on for RE Requiem, but details have not yet been disclosed.
