Earlier this year, the official Gothic 1 Remake project was released, but some fans still return to the classic. Modifications are still being released for the original "Gothic," and recently an enthusiast under the nickname Grumlok presented a full-fledged first-person view.

With this camera, players will be able to fully complete Gothic 1:

The mod is designed for playing the entire game in first-person, including combat. Melee and ranged combat remain responsive and readable, while retaining the original controls, aiming, attacks, movement, and animations.

When switching to the first-person camera, the character's body remains visible. At the same time, the head and items worn on it are hidden so as not to obstruct the view.

The first-person view will work with various gameplay mechanics/animations: you can interact with the environment, pick up items, rest, etc.

The "G1FirstPerson" modification for Gothic 1 is distributed free of charge via ModDB. The project's source code was published in open access on GitHub in the "GustavoMoreiraaa" repository.
