The first performance data for the PC version of Gears of War: E-Day has appeared online. A closed beta tester under the nickname Ariel Combo published several gameplay videos with an enabled performance counter, revealing how the game runs on a powerful configuration.

The testing was conducted on a PC with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card at 4K resolution with maximum graphics settings. However, it is unknown whether native 4K or DLSS upscaling technology was used.

According to the published footage, performance in most scenes stays at 40–50 frames per second, and in less demanding episodes, the frame rate rises to about 60 fps.

Despite the relatively high requirements, the published videos show impressive image quality. The game will be one of the first projects on Unreal Engine 5.8 with support for MegaLights technology, allowing hundreds of dynamic light sources, each capable of casting realistic shadows.

Additionally, the project is expected to use Lumen and hardware-accelerated ray tracing via Hardware Lumen, as already implemented in some modern UE5 games, including Silent Hill 2 Remake.
