The anime "Super Psychic Policeman Chojo" will premiere on October 6. The release date was confirmed on the project's official Twitter/X account.
The anime is set in West Tinjuku, a fictionalized version of Tokyo's Shinjuku district. New police officer Nao Ippongi is partnered with Meguru Chojo, who possesses telepathy and other psychic abilities. The only problem is that Chojo prefers to use his powers for anything but solving crimes. However, after the yakuza threaten Ippongi's family dojo, the lazy psychic finally starts taking his job seriously. Together, the heroes investigate crimes, catch offenders, and try to cope with the daily lives of police officers.
The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Shun Numa, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2024 to June 2025. The story consists of 65 chapters, collected into eight volumes.
Arvo Animation is responsible for the production. Jun'ichi Yamamoto, who worked on "The Duke's Contractual Bride," is directing. Hayashi Mori ("Cells at Work! Code Black") is writing the script, and Masakatsu Sasaki ("Sixteenbit Sensation: Another Layer") is handling character design.
